Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 6, 2026

Information We Collect

GitTrends is a client-side application that does not collect, store, or process any personal information. We do not require user accounts, and we do not track individual users.

GitHub API Usage

GitTrends uses the public GitHub REST API to fetch repository data. All data displayed on this site is publicly available through the GitHub API. We do not modify, store, or cache any personal user data from GitHub beyond temporary server-side API response caching for performance.

Cookies

GitTrends does not use cookies or any form of local storage to track user behavior. Your preferences such as time range and language filters are stored only in the current session state and are not persisted.

Third-Party Services

Our application may be hosted on platforms that collect standard web server logs (IP addresses, browser type, pages visited) for operational purposes. These logs are handled by the hosting provider's privacy policy.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
